Local Rotary Clubs working to help victims, with donations of coats, cleaning supplies and/or money:

The Rotary Club of Larchmont is partnering with Rotarians throughout the New York metropolitan area to collect winter clothing and cleaning supplies for victims of Hurricane Sandy.

Donations of gently used, clean winter coats for adults and children, as well as scarves and winter gloves, are being accepted through November 30 at 71 North Avenue, New Rochelle (name on the building is Murray, Shoen & Homer Insurance) from 9a.m. to 5 p.m. They will be delivered to Rotary Clubs in the Bowery, the Metro New York area and in Ossining for local distribution.

On Saturday, December 1, from noon to 3 p.m, you can bring donations of bleach (large bottles are especially needed) and contractor garbage bags to the parking lot next to 71 North Avenue, New Rochelle,. Rotarians will be delivering these supplies to the five Rotary Clubs in Staten Island that are leading clean-up efforts there.

Please contact with any questions or to arrange for a pickup if you can’t get to 71 North Avenue.
